MICKY - ENSÉÑAME A CANTAR
(TEACH ME TO SING) (1977)
Micky’s song ‘Teach Me to Sing’ was the Spanish entry to the 1977 Eurovision Song Contest. This legendary song became an instant hit when it was released, and its adorable and charming video was shot in Ibiza. The beaches of Salinas and Aguas Blancas, the iconic Hotel Montesol in Vara de Rey (a meeting point on the island where people gathered to discuss the last night’s escapades), the Roca Llisa golf course, Marina Botafoch promenade and the beautiful Cala Llonga road are witnesses to an endless parade of dancing, cruising around the island in the classic Renault 4L and 70s outfits that would put Studio 54 to shame.

CRISS CROSS – THE ROLLING STONES (2020)
When art director and videographer Diana Kunst -who has collaborated with Madonna, Rosalía and FKA Twigs - contacted our CEO, Diego Calvo, with the news that she would be the director of the Satanic Majesties’ new video, the stars aligned. Romeo’s Motel & Diner, Los Enamorados hotel and Diego’s red Mustang convertible (with Diego himself as the driver) ended up playing a part in the music video for ‘Criss Cross’, an unreleased Stones’ track written for the album Goats Head Soup (1973). The streets of London and New York contrast with the Mediterranean light of Ibiza and its salt flats in this cheeky and original compendium of images starring Spanish model Guindilla Ontanaya.

MILES KANE - BLAME IT ON THE SUMMERTIME (2019)
The musician from Wirral in Merseyside is best known as a solo artist and the co-frontman of the Last Shadow Puppets. He was also the former frontman of the Rascals. Mr Kane is a big fan of Ibiza, especially of Concept’s hotels and the Rock Nights parties at Pikes Hotel, of which he is a regular. When looking for a location for his 2019 song, Blame It on the Summertime, he came across Cubanito Hotel and instantly fell in love. Its orange and white chequered swimming pool and the Cala Gració sunset are two of the undisputed stars of this video that oozes summer, carefree and retro pop throughout.

WHAM! - CLUB TROPICANA (1983)
The music video for one of my favourite 80s summer hits was filmed at the legendary Pikes Hotel, that countryside fort in the San Antonio hills, which has more treasure than all the pirate’s loot on Treasure Island. It features George Michael looking earnestly at the camera by the pool while showing off his perfectly toned body and singing, “Club Tropicana drinks are free, fun and sunshine, there’s enough for everyone...” Put simply, it is an icon of pop and, of course, of summer in general. Pikes’ previous owner, Tony Pike (with whom Michael is said to have had an affair), makes a cameo appearance, shaking the cocktail shaker and sporting his unmistakable bushy moustache, shirtless and sporting a red bandana on his neck.

CHRIS REA - ON THE BEACH
The title track from On the Beach is a mix of blues, pop and soft rock that perfectly expresses summer nostalgia. The Cap des Barbaria lighthouse, which already boasts of being one of the most cinematographic (Sex and Lucia, More...), opens the video with a spectacular panoramic view of what is a love letter to summer and to the island of Formentera with its intense blue and turquoise waters, the colour of Rea’s shirt while he plays the guitar and takes melancholic walks around the island.
