The Flamenco Guitar of Yeray Cortés is this year’s biggest documentary film in Spain, directed by Antón Álvarez (aka C. Tangana) in his debut behind the camera. The film follows flamenco guitarist Yerai Cortés as he records an album that leads him to explore the depths of his family and personal history. The documentary premiered at the San Sebastian International Film Festival and won the Goya Award for Best Documentary Film 2025. The soundtrack, composed by Yerai Cortés and Antón Álvarez, won another Goya for Best Original Song for ‘Los Almendros’.
