AITOR GOIKOETXEA: SENSITIVITY AS A FORM OF RESISTANCE
By Laura Martínez
Behind every stitch, every pattern, and every piece signed by Aitor Goikoetxea, there is more than just an aesthetic statement. There is an intimate, almost poetic drive that engages with identity, the body, and desire. Aitor doesn’t design to dress — he designs to tell a story. His work — halfway between fashion and contemporary art — has become one of the most personal and courageous voices of the new Spanish creative scene.
Born in a small town in Bizkaia, Goikoetxea found in fashion a space for expression as physical as it is emotional. He trained at the prestigious Central Saint Martins in London, where he began shaping his delicate, androgynous style — sometimes raw, sometimes fragile, but always authentic. His collections blur the lines between masculine and feminine, urban and artisanal, polished and wild. In his world, skin is memory, clothing is language, and the body is a territory.
Last summer, Los Felices — our hotel dedicated to the world of fashion and the Palm Springs aesthetic — became the perfect stage for a collaboration that was meant to happen. Aitor was the star of one of our most special pop-ups, held in our glass room at the heart of the lobby, where he presented exclusive pieces and shared his vision with a community eager for new aesthetic narratives. For a few days, his universe took shape within ours, in a sincere dialogue between textures, colors, and sensitivity.
As a tribute to that creative connection, one of our rooms now bears his name. His room within the hotel is a small sanctuary inside Los Felices, a hotel where every corner breathes fashion, color, and editorial spirit.
Goikoetxea is part of a new generation of creators who see fashion as a political, emotional, and social mirror. His work — showcased on independent runways, exhibitions, and hybrid projects — celebrates the non-normative, the fluid, the visceral. He’s more interested in what a garment says than in how it looks. His clothing doesn’t decorate — it reveals.
That his name is now part of the Los Felices ecosystem is no coincidence. We share with him a passion for authenticity, for aesthetics as a means of transformation, and for stories that break the mold. That’s why this alliance is not a one-time collaboration, but a creative bond we will continue to nurture season after season.
Aitor Goikoetxea is not just a designer — he is pure sensitivity. And in Ibiza, that sensitivity finds the perfect stage.
